The Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences (www.gess.ethz.ch) at ETH Zurich invites applications for the above-mentioned position. Interactive and Digital Technology (IDT) has opened up new opportunities for formal and informal learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The successful candidate should have a solid background in the cognitive and behavioural sciences and contribute to a better understanding of how IDT supports and affects human functioning and learning. He or she is also expected to be familiar with a broad range of educational technologies, particularly those appropriate for STEM education at universities. At the assistant professor level, commitment to teaching and the ability to lead a research group are expected. Assistant
professorships have been established to promote the careers of younger scientists.
