Book Launch: Exploring religion on campus

A half-day event to mark the launch of the book, Religion in Higher Education in Europe and North America, co-edited by Kristin Aune and Jacqueline Stevenson and published by Routledge.

2.30pm: Welcome and introduction to the text
 
2.45pm: Religion & HE in Europe and North America: historical background and contemporary contexts (Professor Jacqueline Stevenson, Head of Research, Sheffield Institute of Education, Sheffield Hallam University)
 
3.10pm: Islamic Studies in UK universities: challenging curricula (Professor Alison Scott-Baumann, Chair of Society and Belief, Centre of Islamic Studies SOAS)

4.00pm: How religion and belief frame participation and access in UK higher education (Professor Paul Weller, Chair of Inter-Religious Relations, University of Derby)
