Pathways into, through and out of Higher Education11-12 Sep Germany |
Call for papers and postersWith this interdisciplinary conference we aim to bring together international experts in higher education and student trajectory research with a focus in quantitative empirical analysis. As the higher education landscape in many countries is currently undergoing significant transformation at a fast pace, we aim to catch a glance on the future of higher education research: Systematic longitudinal research and international comparisons are important elements of higher education research for seizing the change of student populations and higher education institutions from a scientific perspective. The systematic development of a comparative branch of longitudinal research in higher education is an important prerequisite in order to understand pathways into and out of higher education and to investigate economic and non-economic returns to higher education. By gathering international experts in this field, the conference will contribute to developing theories and methods for comparative research based on microlevel longitudinal data in higher education. Award for the best paper and poster Early career researchers are invited to apply for a best paper award (€ 250,-) by submitting a full paper.
