• Clinical Reselection Skills (CRS) framework • Critical Thinking (CT) pentagon

... and, most importantly , participants’ own versions of MELT, adapted to fit their diverse contexts.

Emeritus Professor Mick Healey (Higher Education Consultant and Researcher, UK)
Professor Jito Vanualailai, (The University of The South Pacific, Fiji)
Associate Professor Sylvia Tiala (The University of Wisconsin Stout, USA)
Professor Phil Levy (The University of Adelaide, Australia)

The International conference on Models of Engaged Learning and Teaching (I-MELT) invites your short papers of 1500-2000 words www.i-melt.edu.au

Papers for presentations of 15 min +10 min Q&A, workshops of 1.5 hours and a posters session may be submitted to the Research Stream or the Practice Stream for peer review.

All papers will draw on or critique one or more of the Models of Engaged Learning and Teaching- or MELT- which are based on the general parameters of the Research Skill Development (RSD) framework www.rsd.edu.au

MELT not only include the Work Skill Development (RSD) framework, the Optimising Problem Solving (OPS) pentagon and other published models, but also the increasing number of models that colleagues in Australia, Fiji, USA, Vietnam and elsewhere have crafted so they are fit-for-purpose.

The Practice Stream is an ideal place to present and hear about emerging MELT, and the way each have been used to engage students in higher order and fluid thinking. The Research Stream will provide us with an understanding of the effectiveness and limitations of MELT adapted and used in different contexts.

I-MELT will be held 11-13 December 2017 at the National Wine Centre Adelaide and the keynote speakers, draft program, conference themes and paper review criteria are available at www.i-melt.edu.au
