Registration is closed for this event

Through its Network Events and Professional Development Programme, SRHE seeks to provide a platform to present the most stimulating and innovative research taking place in higher education studies and practice. The Newer Researcher network recognises the body of exciting research being undertaken by newer and early career researchers and seeks to create a supportive space in which such researchers can present their work-in-progress, receive feedback, and develop connections with others with shared interests and expertise.

Please join us on 30 August for a one-hour lunchtime session where two of SRHE's Newer Researchers will present their work as a 'lightning talk' followed by Q&A. Questions and feedback from attendees are warmly welcomed - we aim for this to be a constructive space for work in progress.

Presentation 1: Miriam Madsen, "Social democratic ideas of higher education: The emergence of a planning agenda"

Presentation 2: Dorjee Kazi, "Leadership Cognition in the Departmental Headship Role: An analysis of the way departmental heads makes sense of leadership practice in Russell Group and post-92 universities in the UK"
