DESCRIPTION:SRHE Members must log-in to access member registra
tion rates \n \n \n \n Facilitated and chaired by:
Dr Vanessa Cui who is the co-convenor of the Acad
emic Practice Network. For more details about the
network and its activities\, please click here.\n
 \n \n \n Overview\n \n \n \n As Generative Artific
ial Intelligence continues to reshape academic pra
ctice in higher education\, we invite you to the t
hird instalment of the AI and Academic Practice se
ries. This roundtable brings together diverse voic
es to explore how AI is being woven into the fabri
c of different disciplines and the interdisciplina
ry spaces between them. Since the introduction of
ChatGPT in late 2022\, the attitudes of both staff
and students have undergone a massive shift. Our
speakers will critically examine how these changin
g perceptions are being managed across different s
ubject areas and the subsequent impact on day-to-d
 ay academic life.\n \n \n \n Assessment remains th
e most pressing challenge for academics and educat
ional developers. This session moves beyond "acade
mic integrity" to explore proactive assessment des
ign frameworks and pedagogical practices. We featu
re practitioner reflections on how we can meaningf
ully measure learning in an automated age.\n \n \n
\n Finally\, the integration of AI has reignited
fundamental questions about the nature of knowledg
 e. Speakers will offer critical perspectives on th
e challenges AI brings to the traditional philosop
hies of education and higher education needs to co
nsider in an increasing AI integrated society.\n \
