Conference Registration

Our 2010 conference delegate rates have been held at the same level as the 2009 rates in recognition of the financial pressures affecting higher education. We have had to adjust prices solely to include the higher rates of VAT applicable but have made no other increases this year.

Early Registration Discounts: book by 8 October 2010

To qualify for an early booking discount, registrations must be received by 8 October 2010 and payments received by 1 November 2010.


Full Conference - Residential Package: 14 - 16 December 2010

Full conference fees include:
  • Three conference days
  • Two nights hotel accommodation at the Celtic Manor Resort (December 14 & 15)
  • Breakfast on 15 and 16 December
  • Lunches on 14, 15 and 16 December
  • Refreshments throughout the day on all three days
  • Welcome reception and dinner on 14 December
  • Pre Conference dinner drinks reception on 15 December
  • Conference sessions and materials pre and post conference

Conference Dinner Wednesday 15 December 2010
Include a three course meal prepared by award winning chefs at the Celtic Manor plus wine and an after dinner speaker followed by dancing. Tickets £42 each

Accompanying Persons
For Conference Delegates on the residential package wishing to be accompanied by a partner, sharing a double room but not attending the conference, a single additional fee has been negotiated which includes two nights accommodation sharing room with full paying participant, breakfast, lunches, teas and coffees, Welcome Reception.

SRHE Membership Conference discounts
Conference delegates who are not members of the Society can take advantage of a special discount membership offer and receive the benefit of SRHE member rates for the conference, SRHE discounts on all publications on sale at the conference plus a year’s membership of the Society.

SRHE Postgraduate and Newer Researchers Conference (PGNR) 13 December 2010
One day conference plus optional half day (14 December)


Include attendance on the day, lunch, refreshments throughout and an early evening drinks reception.

*Day Two (Tuesday) is planned to include workshops with leading academics and publishers in the field on getting published and accessing research funding, attendance at the opening keynote speech of the SRHE Annual Research Conference (ARC) and closing with lunch.


Bursaries

The Society has a small number of bursaries available of £100 to assist fulltime students to attend the SRHE Annual Research Conference and of £50 to assist Full time students attending the Postgraduate and Newer Researchers Conference. All applicants for bursaries must provide proof of their student status and complete a bursary application form available to download from the conference website.
