Session description
In this introductory session, we will discuss some obstacles which prevent us from achieving our academic writing goals and how a group setting can help us to tackle these. The session will include goal-setting, warm-up activities, peer feedback, and mini writing sessions. We will conclude with some reflection on our writing practices, including how we create accountability and momentum.

Facilitator
Dr Sinéad Murphy is SRHE’s Manager for Conferences and Events, and holds an AHRC LAHP-funded PhD in Comparative Literature from King’s College London. Prior to her role at SRHE, she held academic posts in King’s College London and Freie Universität Berlin. She has also worked in research support and professional services roles in the London School of Economics and Political Science and University College Dublin, Ireland. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a member of the interdisciplinary research collective Beyond Gender.
