In this workshop participants will acquire some visual tools based on drawing and mind maps in order to enhance reading practices.
Learning outcomes: By the end of this session, the successful participant will be expected to be able to:
- Represent visually complex concepts and ideas
- Be able to read a text and represent it using visual tools.
- Appreciate the range of tools in visual research methodologies.

Presenters:
Dr. Beatriz Acevedo, National Teaching Fellow is an artist and educator with more than 25 years teaching in higher education. She is also a Creative Oracle, aiming to re-kindle the creative talents of individuals, academics and organisations, through a number of creative-based and art-based methods, as well as methods from systems thinking, lateral thinking and design thinking. She is a big fan of drawing and visuality, and she has organised conferences in the topic of vision in organizational research, thinking through drawing, creative super powers and open studios.
Dr. Romas Malevicius is a nationally recognised and award-winning lecturer in Sustainability and Ethics and PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) Coordinator at the University of Salford. Advanced HE Fellow (FHEA), creative and passionate about sustainability and education for sustainability (EfS) expert. Business consultant with 10 years’ experience in business and management education and community engagement.
