
Registration for the 2026 SRHE Conference is now open.
It will comprise 1 virtual conference day (27th Nov 2026, online via Zoom) and then 3 in-person conference days (1st – 3rd Dec 2026, at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham).
SRHE members can attend the online day free-of-charge and will be able to access a discounted rate for the in-person element. For more about SRHE membership and its benefits, click here.
Delegates are welcome to attend online, in person, or both – please note that attending both formats will require two bookings:

The in-person conference registration includes:
- All conference sessions over the 3 days, including poster exhibition
- Tues 1st December: lunch, refreshments, evening drinks reception and evening buffet dinner
- Weds 2nd December: lunch, refreshments and evening buffet dinner
- Thurs 3rd December: refreshments and lunch

- There are NO day rates; full registration fees apply regardless of time spent at the conference.

2026 Annual Conference Bursaries for Early Career Researchers
A limited numbers of SRHE member bursaries for doctoral and early career researchers are available to assist participation at the SRHE Conference 2026, which will take place at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham from 1-3 December 2026.
The bursaries offered will consist of one free conference registration plus £250 towards supporting travel and accommodation.
Applications will be checked for eligibility and then entered into a draw for randomised selection.
Applications are welcomed from SRHE members based both within and from outside the UK, including those based in countries in receipt of overseas Development Assistance (ODA).
Who can apply
To qualify for the bursary you should:
- have a minimum of a first undergraduate degree and be currently registered as a student undertaking research associated with a university or college department and with an interest in pursuing a career in higher education research.
- OR be within 6 years of the completion of your PhD or equivalent professional qualification and actively engaged in higher education research. This time limit excludes any formal career breaks taken for family responsibilities.
Joint applications and multiple applications are not permitted.
All applicants must submit a paper or poster to the conference by 15 May 2026.
