David Boud is Deakin Distinguished Professor and Foundation Director of the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning at Deakin University, Australia, and Emeritus Professor at the University of Technology Sydney. He has been a pioneer in developing learning-centred approaches to courses and in new conceptions of assessment and feedback. He has been influential in changing ideas on reflection, self-assessment, sustainable assessment, the development of students’ evaluative judgement and feedback and feedback literacy. He is one of the most highly cited scholars in the world in the field of higher education.
