Peter Scott is emeritus Professor of Higher Education Studies at University College London (IOE – Faculty of Education and Society). He was  Professor there from 2011-2018, Vice-Chancellor of Kingston University London (1998-2010), and Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Education at the University of Leeds. Before moving to Leeds in 1992 he was Editor of ‘The Times Higher Education Supplement’ (as it then was). He served two terms on the board of the former Higher Education Funding Council for England and was chair of council at the University of Gloucestershire )2011-2015) and was Scotland’s first Commissioner for Fair Access (2016-2022).
